Mark Winter, operator of the Historic Toadlena Trading Post, is working
on a book titled The Master Weavers. Clara Sherman is one of those weavers
and she has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by SWAIA,
Southwest American Indian Artists.
Mark decided to pre-release the section featuring the family of Clara
Sherman. This fills in the details of who she is and what she has done to
deserve this honor.
It is wonderfully illustrated with historic photographs of Clara and her
family, full page illustrations of some of Clara’s rugs and a complete
genealogy of her family. |
